Whimsical Wednesday

We had a wonderful wednesday!
What a great time.

So this morning, bright and early, we got up and got on the road

The flood relief crews were both together today working on gutting two houses. We discovered some boards that were under some other boards that had remained wet since the flood LAST YEAR! Talk about rotten. We had some wonderful adventures as we finished both houses. Jenny got gum stuck on her butt, brady chris and briggs accidently tore out a rathar large second story window (whoops!), we scraped several inches of mud from the basement, we found some rather interesting items on the street (e.g., little boy's underwear), and we took the most bathroom breaks the site has ever taken!

The VBC crew had more kids today than any other day! The kids are having a lot of fun! Here are some highlights: we made tiles, we ate animal crackers and drank apple juice, hung out with some awesome children, plus paige taught us an awesome camp song with the words "nano nano" in it. Amazing!!!

Kitchen crew: When sherri and betsy went to walmart to get groceries, they got two full carts of groceries. Then they went to take it to the car but couldn't find the car at all! Unfortunately, this car doesn't have power locks so they couldn't use the clicker to find it. About ten minutes later, they finally found their car! Luckily iowa's high temp today was 80 degrees!

Much love,
Holla at us!

  2. Hey, FUMC YOUTH,

Your God rejoices over you with singing.

    Zephaniah 3: 17

Thanks for helping out the people of Cedar
Rapids, Iowa, and for serving Christ in
    such a special, needed way!!!

Sounds like you are in a much cooler climate!

We have now had 29 days straight of triple
digit temperatures, with no relief in sight.
So, enjoy it, and carry it back with you!
And bring some rain while you're at it!
    PLEASE!!!!

Paige, I can't wait to hear the new VBS
Song. I hope you will teach it to us!

    FUMC ADULTS:

Thank you so much for serving in ministry
to our youth! And for helping to cook,
clean and chaperone! We appreciate you.
Sherri and Betsy, you make me laugh and
you make me feel normal! I have done
the same thing, only about 50 times
more than you have. Once, I left my keys
in the door, 'cause I don't have a clicker,
and you have to lock it with the key. The
keys were still in the door when I returned.
I searched and searched all over HEB and
my grocery cart and purse, and then
finally thought, maybe they are in the car.
Sure enough .... only in Georgetown ...
    Hee, hee.

Safe work and labor and joy in your labors,

Be kind to one another and lift each other up,

Share the love of Christ to all you meet,

    Praise Him in the Morning,
    Praise Him in the Evening,
Praise Him when the Sun goes down,

Love, and blessings to you all,

    Mrs. Marlene Williams,
    Devin, and Shelby Claire Williams
